Photo Session At Big Falls County Park, Eau Claire

It's always an honor when a couple chooses me as their wedding photographer. But when they continue to hire me years after their wedding....HUGE honor!
I photographed Andrew and Ashley's wedding in 2023 and a mini session in 2024. So when Ashley emailed me asking about maternity photos, I just about cried!! As a photographer, it means so much to be able to continue documenting your love stories and watch your families grow.
After sending over a few location ideas, Ashley and Andrew chose Big Falls County Park in Eau Claire, WI. This little park offers woods, waterfalls, grassy fields and sandy beaches. It's a great place to spend a sunny summer afternoon, and an even better place for photos!
We started in the field next to the parking lot, then made our way down to the falls. Use caution if you go down by the water, as the sand on the rocks can be a little slippery, and certain times of the summer blue-green algae can be an issue as well.
The beach is certainly my favorite part of this park. The water is fairly shallow, so you can wade out a bit to get the best angles, or some cute in-water poses. And something about the wide, sandy beach is just so fun.
So if you're looking for a place to take photos in the Eau Claire-Chippewa Falls Wisconsin area, consider Big Falls County Park for your next session!
